Does MySkillsPrep offer scholarships or discounts?

Yes, we offer a 30% discount good student discount (GPA > 3.7), a 30% financial aid discount (parent’s adjusted gross income is below $60,000) and a 30% discount for sibling enrollment, which applies to the first and all other siblings that concurrently enroll in any program. Please note these discounts are not cumulative. We also provide a 100% discount for foster children so that enrollment in any of our programs is free.

Does MySkillsPrep provide certifications?

Yes, we provide both digital and printable certifications upon the successful completion of all MySkillsPrep program.  Certifications are emailed to students within 30 days following the successful completion of a program.

Are there any requirements to enroll in MySkillsPrep pograms?

Our programs are designed for high school students ages 15-19, however, there is a minimum age requirement of 13 years old.

When are classes held?

Each program is offered over multiple periods over the course of a year.  For each program, there are multiple live class periods scheduled so that students can choose class times that best fit their schedules.

What are the technology requirements for MySkillsPrep programs?

Students will need a Windows or Mac computer with a webcam and stable internet connection that provides access to Zoom video conferencing.  Students will also have access to our LearnDash platform via their computer.

How are course materials presented?

Course materials are presented during live Zoom meetings hosted by an instructor.  Students may also receive materials either by mail or through the LearnDash platform.

What is required for students to successfully complete a program?

Students are expected to attend at least half of their class sessions and complete all their assignments.  Students do not receive grades but achieve completion and certification status after attending their class sessions and completing assignments.

What if I miss a class?

Each program offers class sessions at various times during the day and week to accommodate student schedules.  However, there may be times when a student is unable to attend a class session.  If a student misses a live class session, they can still receive credit for attendance by viewing a recorded class session.  Students must attend at least half of their live class sessions to complete their program.

Can I repeat a program to achieve completion?

Yes, students are permitted to repeat a program, at no additional cost, to achieve completion.

Do you accept international students?

Yes, all international students are welcome.  We advise students to have basic English reading, writing, and conversational skills to achieve completion.

Can I change to date of my program?

Yes, you can change the date of your program at any time within one year of registration.

Does MySkillsPrep offer refunds?

MySkillsPrep offers full tuition refunds, for any reason, up to to 30 days before the start date of a program.  Students may also defer to a later program period at any time.   

Does MySkillsPrep offer in-person camps?

We do not offer in-person camps at this time but may do so in the future.

Can a student be expelled from a program?

We expect students to abide by our basic core values and standards of conduct found here.  Students may be given an opportunity to correct behavior through a written or verbal warning.   A student may be expelled from a program, without refund, if they fail to abide by our basic core values and standards.
